(OTCBB: DVNTF), a leading provider of mobile device security, today announced the appointment of Kashif Hassan as President of Diversinet Corp. The company also announced the appointments of Michael J. O'Farrell as Chief Marketing Officer, David Annan as Chief Technology Officer, Charles Walton as Executive Vice President Corporate Development, and Jay Wigdale as a member of the Board of Directors. "Diversinet has made significant progress under Nagy Moustafa's leadership", said Mark Steinman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diversinet. "These management changes enable Mr. Moustafa to now concentrate on strategic development and growth opportunities as CEO while the new executive team focuses on the operational execution of the company's business plan." Mr. Hassan joins Diversinet from Mobile Diagnostix, where he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors until the company was acquired in 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Hassan was President and CEO of Wysdom Inc., where he led the company in marketing world-class mobile data products to leading mobile network operators around the globe. Mr. Hassan also co-founded and served as President of Wyrex Communications Inc., a global mobile systems integration firm. Mr. Hassan earlier participated in developing new mobile services through his association with mobile network operators Rogers AT&T and TeleZone. Mr. Hassan participated in the previously-announced December 2004 private placement that raised U.S. $2.65 million for Diversinet. Mr. Hassan will report directly to Mr. Moustafa. Mr. O'Farrell brings to Diversinet more than 15 years of executive experience in worldwide mobile device, application and partner development. As Chief Marketing Officer, he will have overall responsibility for developing the company's strategy and executing its market development initiatives. Mr. O'Farrell's responsibilities include product management, marketing, and industry partnerships and alliances. Mr. O'Farrell participated in the previously-announced December 2004 private placement that raised U.S. $2.65 million for Diversinet. Mr. O'Farrell reports directly to Mr. Hassan. Mr. Annan brings to Diversinet 26 years of experience in creating successful products and services in the telecommunications industry for mobile network operators and managed service providers. As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Annan will exploit Diversinet's unique technical capabilities to create new levels of mobile security packaging and performance. Mr. Annan's responsibilities include research & development, technology support and managed services operations. Mr. Annan reports directly to Mr. Hassan.
