RSA CONFERENCE 2007, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., February 6, 2007 – Diversinet Corp. (OTCBB: DVNTF), a leading provider of mobile authentication security and access solutions, today introduced the Diversinet Provisioning Server for RSA SecurID®, a fast, easy and secure way for enterprises to deploy cost-effective RSA SecurID two-factor software authenticators. The Diversinet Provisioning Server for RSA SecurID solution simplifies the registration, delivery and activation of RSA SecurID software authenticators, and will be brought to market by RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), expanding the strategic partnership between the two entities.
“We are delivering on our commitment to make it easier for users to get the benefits of stronger security in the devices they already own, and provide account providers and enterprises with a flexible mechanism to arm their customers with stronger authentication without having to procure and deliver stand-alone authenticators,” said Toffer Winslow, vice president of product management and product marketing, Enterprise Solutions at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. “By integrating RSA SecurID technology into Diversinet’s solutions, we are not only facilitating the simplified deployment of robust authentication to an ever-growing market, but building the necessary confidence that corporate data is being accessed securely by customers, partners and employees.”
Available now, the Diversinet Provisioning Server for the RSA SecurID solution is interoperable with RSA® Authentication Manager, the management component that powers the RSA SecurID solution. The Diversinet Provisioning Server for the RSA SecurID solution is also integrated with RSA® Authentication Deployment Manager, the web-based workflow automation system that is engineered to speed deployment of RSA SecurID software and hardware authenticators to end users. The integration with Deployment Manager makes it easier for new or existing RSA SecurID customers to leverage the cost and convenience benefits of RSA SecurID software authenticators.
The Diversinet Provisioning Server is engineered to fully support the Cryptographic Token Key Initialization Protocol standard (CT-KIP), ensuring a high level of security during the provisioning process, and offering convenient online or over-the-air provisioning of R SA SecurID Toolbar Tokens for Microsoft® Internet Explorer® and Mozilla® Firefox® browsers. In addition, a broad range of mobile device platforms will be supported as new CT-KIP compliant software authenticators are released.
“The Diversinet solution is the first CT-KIP provisioning server to integrate with RSA Authentication Manager technology, and it offers a highly secure way for organizations to extend their existing RSA SecurID deployments in the form of cost-effective software authenticators,” said Stuart Vaeth, chief security officer and vice president of business development for Diversinet. “We are pleased to expand our strategic partnership with RSA, and look forward to working with them as software authenticators continue to gain wider-scale adoption in the market.”
The Diversinet Provisioning Server for RSA SecurID is designed to work within the existing RSA SecurID infrastructure to provide complete provisioning services, including:
- Over-the-air or online download of RSA SecurID software authenticators;
- Secure provisioning of token seeds and associated configuration data to RSA SecurID software authenticators; and
- Real-time generation and push of token seeds to RSA Authentication Manager.
Software authenticators are ideal for widespread, cost-effective enterprise and consumer adoption. Users don’t need to carry any extra devices with them because the authenticator is already embedded in their cell phone, PDA or laptop computer, and the Diversinet Provisioning Server simplifies obtaining, installing and using the software authenticators.
The Diversinet Provisioning Server for RSA SecurID is being demonstrated in the RSA Partner Pavilion, Booth 1324 at the RSA Conference, February 5-9, 2007, in San Francisco’s Moscone Center.
